Our Spring fayre is coming up on 9th March and we are looking for volunteers to help and contributions for the stalls.

In this first full week of Lent all of our usual services are taking place except for the Tuesday service at Christ the King.

This week sees the beginning of Lent and all of our usual services take place together with an additional service on Wednesday evening at 7.30pm in St. Michael's for a sung Eucharist with the imposition of ashes.


We have several Lent groups available - sign up in church and the first Lent Lunch takes place on Saturday at Christ the King.


This Lent we are supporting the charity Embrace the Middle East, a charity that many may recognise from the Bethlehem Carol Sheets that they provide each Christmas to many churches and groups. The charity works through churches and Christian groups in Palestine, Israel, Syria, Lebenon, Egypt and Iraq to help the vulnerable and improve life for thousands regardless of their faith.

The Christmas season is now finally over and we have two short weeks before Lent begins on 14th February.


4th Feb is the Second Sunday before Lent and all of our regular services are taking place including our monthly seeker service at 10.30am and choral evensong at 6.30pm.

Today we celebrate Candlemas.


All of our usual services both on Sunday and throughout the week take place except that there is no evening prayer this Sunday (28th) instead we join our sister churches from the cluster for a Candlemas celebration at 6pm)

Today is the Second Sunday of Epiphany and we are also keeping Plough Sunday.


All of our usual services are taking place and at the end of the 10.30am service we shall bless our gardening tools in readiness for the gardening year that lies ahead.

The Week beginning Sunday 7th January

All of our regular services in church take place this week including our monthly seeker service at 10.30am on Sunday and choral evensong at 6.30pm as this Sunday we celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany, the coming of the wise men to Bethlehem and the revealing of Christ to the world.


Our midweek zoom services of Morning and Evening Prayer resume this week although there are no zoom services on Saturday.


Saturday does see, however, a drop in lunch at Christ the King from 12 noon until 2pm. Home made soup with bread and cheese and a chance to chat. Drop In if you're around and join us.

Advent Sunday and a chilly start to a new church year (though with the heating on there is a warm welcome awaiting you!


With services at their usual times this week we have our monthly seeker service at 10.30am and at 6.30pm a service of Advent hymns and readings - both at St. Michael's.


Next Sunday sees the first of our Christmas celebrations with the Christingle service at 4pm.

Today is Remembrance Sunday. All of our usual Sunday services are taking place together with two Acts of Remembrance at 11am.


The 10.30am service at St. Michael's will pause for us to gather at the Parish War Memorial in the churchyard for the 2 minutes silence whilst another gathering outside Rushall Hub begins its observance at 10.50am.

At 6.30pm we have our annual Candles of Remembrance service at St. Michael's in which we remember those we love who have gone before us.

Our midweek zoom services also take place this week except for Thursday evening. The Deanery Synod also set for Thursday evening has been cancelled.

The vicar is on holiday this week and so the only services taking place on Sunday are 8am Holy Communion and 10.30am Holy Communion both at St. Michael's. The 9am at Christ the King and 6.30pm Evening Prayer at St. Michael's will not be taking place.


There are no Zoom services this week but the 9.30am Holy Communion at Christ the King on Tuesday and 9.30am Holy Communion at St. Michael's on thursday will both take place as normal.

Sunday 13th August

All of our usual Sunday services take place this week and also our midweek services save for Tuesday when Zoom Evening Prayer and the Tuesday morning Eucharist at Christ the King do not take place but instead we are joined by the congregations of the other churches of our cluster for a sung service of Holy Communion to celebrate the feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary which begins at 7.30pm at St. Michael's and is followed by refreshments.

Sunday 6th August is the feast of the Transfiguration of our Lord (the occasion when he took three of his disciples to the mountain top and was revealed in glory talking with Moses and Elijah) What are your mountain top moments when you feel close to God?

Restoration project breathes new life into wall paintings at Rushall church

Deteriorated wall paintings that have adorned the walls of a Walsall church for more than 100 years have been given a much-need spruce up as part of a £200,000 restoration project.

Members of the church are now hopeful that the restored creations will help bring more public exposure to the historic building.
